Gathering of Customers, Partners and Globalization and Translation Experts Sets Stage for Ongoing Industry Dialogue

5/30/2006 Language service provider industry veteran Peter Reynolds joins Idiom management team
Waltham, Mass., USA — May 30, 2006 — Idiom® Technologies, Inc. (Idiom), the leading independent provider of scalable software solutions for accelerating and optimizing globalization initiatives, today announced it has appointed Peter Reynolds as director of the company's WorldServer LSP Advantage Program™ — a rapidly growing partner program dedicated to the software technology platform needs of Language Service Providers (LSPs). Reynolds brings more than 10 years of experience in the translation services industry, having served in a variety of technical and management roles with some of the world's largest and most successful service providers including Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:LIOX), Bowne Global Solutions (BGS) and Berlitz International.

If you're looking for further evidence that Web globalization drives revenue growth, look at the latest earnings numbers for a company that relies exclusively on the Internet for revenues.
Google just announced that Q1 revenues "from outside of the United States contributed 42% of total revenues, compared to 38% in the fourth quarter of 2005 and 39% in the first quarter of 2005. Foreign exchange rates had an immaterial impact on sequential international revenue growth. Had foreign exchange rates remained constant from the first quarter of 2005 through the first quarter of 2006, our international revenues would have been $65 million higher."
When will Google's non-US earnings surpass the 50% mark? I thought last year that 2006 would be the year, but it looks like the US market continues to grow at a rapid clip as well. So now it's looking like 2007. It's really not a question of if non-US revenues will surpass US revenues, but when.
